10 Forthcoming Imminent Technologies that can change our Gaming Experience
#1 Quantum Computing
A big myth of quantum (a word which is sometimes synonymous with ‘magic’ nowadays) computers is that they bend the rules of space-time to spit out an answer due to effects like ‘superposition’ and ‘entanglement’ with ‘spooky action at a distance’. No matter how bizarre these concepts may seem, they all are based in hard science.
#2 E-Skin (Shirt that acts as a controller)
Researchers from the University of Tokyo have turned the human body into a controller for virtual, augmented, and mixed reality. Dubbed e-skin, the connected shirt enables camera-free motion capture and tracking. The wireless shirt, which is on display at IFA 2017 in Berlin, allows wearers to move freely, stretch, and perform tasks like running and swinging.
#3 Razer's Project "ARIANNA"
One of the more unusual concept pieces
Razer has ever shown off at CES is
Project Ariana, a high-concept projector that's designed to complement, not
replace, your main display. It combines an ultra-wide 155-degree fish-eye
lens and a pair of 3D-sensing cameras to "paint" some combination of in-game footage,
related images (like weather effects) and colored lights, via Razer's Chroma
lighting system, all in an effort to augment the onscreen game experience and
make it feel all-enveloping.
#4 Hololens 2.0
Microsoft's HoloLens is unusual in the virtual
and augmented (or mixed) reality space in that it's stand-alone Windows 10 PC
that blends the real world you see through the HoloLens visor with a 3D one
that's projected in front of your eyes.
#5 Next Generation Consoles (Xbox Scarlett, PlayStation 5, and more)
It looks as if we've got until at least 2020 before the successor to the Xbox One arrives, according to the latest rumors, which line up nicely with many of the details shared publicly by Microsoft's head of Xbox, Phil Spencer. Although we're hideously impatient for news of a PlayStation 5 release date, we can't fault Sony for taking another few years to really milk the last of the PS4, given it's huge and loyal player base.
#6 Intel's 5GHz 28 Core CPU
Intel processors like Intel's 5GHz 28 Core CPU have much higher frequency headroom than AMD's
processors, both at stock settings and after overclocking. The 5.0 GHz
overclock makes Intel's new processor all the more impressive compared to AMD's
relatively tame clock speeds.
#7 Teslasuit (full haptic body suit)
According to Teslasuit Corp The world’s first fully integrated smart clothing apparel with Haptic Feedback, Motion Capture, Climate Control and Biometric Feedback systems.
#8 Samsung's 4 Terrabyte SSDs (still in development)
Describing this new family of storage drives, which will also include 1TB and 2TB variants, as consumer class, Samsung will obviously aim to price them at a level where quibbles about performance will be overwhelmed by the sheer advantage of having terabytes of space.
#9 NVIDIA's Quadro RT X 6000
“Quadro RTX marks the launch of a new era for the global computer graphics industry,” said Bob Pette, vice president of Professional Visualization at NVIDIA. “Users can now enjoy powerful capabilities that weren’t expected to be available for at least five more years. Designers and artists can interact in real time with their complex designs and visual effects in ray-traced photo-realistic detail.
#10 Intel is going to be releasing GPUs
Intel has announced that it will be releasing its first discrete graphics card in 2020, with the new GPU aimed at data center and gaming PCs. Producing discrete GPUs means Intel can put even more power into the graphics cards it creates, and the idea of a three-way race between Intel, AMD and Nvidia to woo gamers is certainly an exciting prospect.
So that's all for today guys!.
