Steam to allow Steam Libraries to be played straight on Mobile Phones



Soon, Steam will allow Mobile Gamers to Play PC Games right from their Smartphones.


According to Steam's Press Release yesterday, Steam is said to be launching two new Apps. The Steam Link and the Steam Video.


Steam Link app, An app which allows gamers to experience games from their steam libraries right to their smartphones on both iOS (iPhone, iPad, Apple TV) and Android devices (phone, tablet, TV) while being connected with at least 5ghz network or wired Ethernet to a host system (PC or Mac).













The App will also allow gamers to use Steam Controllers, MFI controllers, and other controllers for both platforms (iOS and Android).

Steam Link app is expected to launch by the week of May 21st and Android will get a beta version of the app first soonest.



Steam Video however, is targeted to be released later this summer, which will allow users to stream movies and shows available from Steam using also Smartphones (Android and iOS) with Wi-Fi/LTE Connection.


Steam will also include the ability to save movies for offline watching as a response to one of the customer's feedback.
