Pokemon Go will soon allow you to Trade stuffs with your friends
Trainer Codes will be entitled for each player so they can share it with friends and send friend requests and interact with different stuffs in the game.
Along with Trading, here are some of the other things mentioned by Niantic:
Friend System
Pokemon Go players can be able to add other players using their unique and long numerical identifier, There's a limit though, At launch, each player's friends list will be limited to 200 friends only. Niantic also adds that they have no plans to charge players in-game currency for expanding the friends limit, but Niantic may expand the limit in the future.
There's also a thing called "Friendship Level" where you increase your friendship level by battling at rival teams gyms together. There are four levels of friendship, (Good Friend, Great Friend, Ultra Friend and the highest, Best Friend)
Next is the Trading System
Trading System
Honestly, When i first played Pokemon Go during its first month of Release, This Feature was missing and i felt like the game isn't complete without trading, and yes, this was the most requested feature before and i was one of the players who hopes for trading system to come, and finally Niantic did it!
Trading Pokemon will cost you stardust, (an in-game item where you obtain it from catching pokemons or hatching eggs) but stardust is now being used to upgrade a pokemon. There are some Limitations set by Niantic such as you can't trade a pokemon to a friend who doesn't have that pokemon on their pokedex and trading pokemons will be based as well on your Friendship levels.
There are some other added feature to the game such as getting a Pokemon candy bonus for every traded pokemon that upgrades based on how far the pokemon was caught.
More Features to come soon
Niantic says that they are working for more features related to trading and friends this year and one from that is they want to include social networks as a platform to add friends from Pokemon Go as Kento suga (Global Product marketing manager of Niantic) says that their goal is to make Pokemon Go as "The most sociable game in the world).
Here are the current highlights from Niantic Updates.
