AMD Fights Intel back by announcing a new 32-core 5GHz Threadripper processor


Yes you read it right, AMD announced that the Second Generation Threadripper would be Double the Performance, Yes! From 16-cores to 32-cores!!

A few hours only after Intel Announced their upcoming 28-core 5GHz processor that captured the eyes of many, AMD fights back by promising that the second Generation of Threadripper will have 32-cores and 64 threads, the core straps four 8-core Ryzen APU's together to form the 32-core part.

AMD states that it will use the same socket from first generation Threadripper. And the only  other details disclosed by AMD at Computex was the new Threadripper will be built using a 12nm technology and the processor will be available for purchase by Q3 (Third Quarter of 2018)

There's no price announced at this point but AMD will disclose it anytime before the Launch.
